The ads weren’t the problem
What was happening
“Can you look at my Google Ads? They don't seem to bring me any work.”
John had spent around £800 a month on Google Ads for three years with little to show for it, and had recently halved the budget himself out of frustration.
What Philip saw
The ads weren't the problem.
About half of the remaining £400 went on NHS searches. The website was almost entirely about him, when patients arrive searching for their problem. And bookings went through Top Doctors with no tracking, so nobody could tell whether the website worked at all.
What we did
Aimed the same £400 at private searches in the right locations; reordered the website around the concerns and treatments people search for, keeping its look; moved bookings to his secretary with full tracking; fixed his Google Business Profile; and agreed a staged plan to raise spend only as results justify it.
What happened
The new website has only just launched, so it’s too early for enquiry figures. The wasted spend has gone, tracking is in place for the first time, and he is already appearing higher on Google Maps for the searches that matter.
More of the work
Different businesses. Different starting points.
Addington Palace
A Grade II* listed palace outside London, from around 100 website visits a month to more than 8,000, and eight weddings booked in a quarter that had none the year before.
Wonderland Wedding Venues
Six tipi wedding venues brought together into one website before a big rise in ad spend. Now around 30 wedding bookings a month, and three more venues since.
Incredibble
A strategy day that gave a fast-growing talent business the words it had been missing, and the brief for its new website.
